I had always wanted to go on a trek, but I never really felt safe or confident enough to do it. My first trek to Dayara Bugyal with Mountainiax, on a private trek with my partner, turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life. From start to finish, Abhishek, the owner of Mountainiax, took excellent care of us. Everything was well managed, especially food hygiene, stay, safety, and overall comfort. We even started with a medical check-up and some exercises, which made us feel well prepared. The journey was full of beautiful moments—learning about the local plants, herbs and stories from Abhishek, taking breaks, eating, laughing, and simply enjoying the mountains. It never felt stressful; we completed the trek while having so much fun. I was also worried about staying in a tent because I’m claustrophobic, but the tent and sleeping bag were spacious and comfortable, so I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and beautifully located close to nature. For me, this was much more than just a trek. It was an experience that made me feel safe, confident, and truly happy. The Dayara Bugyal Trek with Mountainiax was a challenging but really enjoyable and rewarding experience. Abhishek was a lovely guide; he was very experienced and looked after us. We went in monsoon season so it was very wet! But despite the pouring rain and fog we still had fun and there were some incredible views when the sun came out! We were joined by two local cooks who were very friendly and made amazing meals and snacks for us each day. Had an exceptional time trekking Dayara Bugyal with Mountainiax. Our guide, Abhishek was fantastic - very knowledgeable, made us feel safe, generous, and fun. Despite the wet weather, Abhishek and the two cooks with us made us feel very comfortable and again were very generous in making plenty of hot meals, snacks, and hot drinks to keep us fuelled and warm. We had a tent set up for us at the base camp, equipped with a double mattress and plenty of layers. The Dayara Bugyal trek is a short but challenging trek, but is certainly beginner-friendly (which we were). Guidance from Abhishek around how to handle the high altitudes helped a lot. The route was also peaceful away from the more crowded routes such as Valley of Flowers. For anyone thinking about going out of their comfort zone to trek in the Himalayan foothills to experience the amazing views, you’re in safe hands with Mountainiax - definitely do it!

In January, I booked a trek with a group of five people, and it turned out to be a really great experience. Everything was well-organized and smooth throughout the journey. I recently went on my first trek to Dayara Bugyal with my college friends, and what an experience it turned out to be. At around 12,000 feet, the altitude was high, but the feeling was even higher on a spiritual level. The endless meadows, the simplicity of the mountains, the teasing patches of snow, and the chilly winds made every step feel surreal. My body kept getting more tired with every climb, but somehow my soul kept feeling fuller. Trekking with friends, sharing laughs on the trail, waking up to crisp mountain mornings, and ending the day with the most wholesome, homelike food prepared by the Mountainiax team made the whole journey even more special. A big shoutout to our amazing support guides, Shubham and Ajit, and to the incredible chef who somehow managed to serve such comforting, delicious food in the middle of the mountains. Somewhere between the long walks, the quiet views, and the conversations with friends, I realized I had barely touched my phone. It turned out to be the dopamine detox I didn’t know I needed. By the time we headed back, my legs were exhausted, but my mind felt lighter than it had in months. My body was tired, but my soul was full. It was an amazing experience to do first trek in Dayara Bugyal. Our guide Shubham and Ajit was so helpful throughout the trek. I have faced some difficulties as it was my first trek but their guidence helped a lot to complete the trek smoothly. Also, coming to the food, everyday we were served with very light but tasty foods. Overall, it was a remarkable experience in Dayara Bugyal.
